Project Charter[Solar Energy Lab]

Description

  • Develop a solar energy lab on Harding's campus with possible applications in Haiti and at HUT.

Objectives

  • Economical Solutions
  • Design for cost-free electricity at school in Haiti
  • Design a system to help educate Harding students (and others) about solar energy
  • Effectively generate enough power to get the water delivery system at HUT working

Outcomes or Deliverables

  • Relatively small system at Harding that demonstrates how solar energy works.
  • Solar power for the water delivery system at HUT.
  • A system designed for Haiti
  • Solar panels incorporated in the roof of the science building.

Critical Dates (subject to modification, these are currently tentative)

  • Haiti system design complete by May 2012
  • Plans for solar energy demonstration and HUT System - mid February?
  • Parts ordered for solar energy demonstration and HUT system by March 2012
